THE FUTURE OF HIS TRIBE
Leader of the vampire clan MoonBound, Hunter will do what he must to save his people from extinction—or worse, a torturous eternity as vampire slaves and subjects of human experimentation. To keep his enemies at bay, he has agreed to mate a rival clan leader’s daughter in return for peace between the clans and an ally in the looming war with the humans.

THE LOVER OF HIS SOUL
But survival comes at a price. First, Hunter must break an ancient curse by successfully negotiating three deadly tests. Then he must resist the searing passions of the gorgeous vampire warrior he despises but is bound to mate. Will Hunter stay true to his word? Or will he risk everything for the woman he really loves: the vampire seductress’s identical twin sister?

Fantastic and imaginative world building!

First off, when I read any of Larissa Ione's books I know that I'm going to read something different. The MoonBound Clan Vampire series is a great example of her fantastic and imaginative world building. In most vampire books vampires are at the top of the food chain so to speak, and while vampires should be in this world (with their strength and healing), instead they have been enslaved by humans. Through sheer numbers, technology and advanced weaponry humans have made slaves of vampires and it is absolutely legal. So yeah it is a dark and dirty kind of world that makes you want to cheer the vampires on in taking back their lives and freedom.

Chained by Night is all about Hunter, Rasha and Aylin and I'm not going to reveal any spoilers with regards to who Hunter ends up with in the story. Hunter intrigued me from the first moment I read about him. He is a great leader who has managed to be a better chief than his father before him and inspires loyalty and love among his people. His integrity caused him to make an agreement to mate Rasha in the first book and to stick with it when it's obvious that she doesn't care anything about him. Rasha will make you hate her (more), while wondering if there isn't a shred of goodness in her somewhere. Aylin will awe you with her selflessness and courage, and make you hope for a miracle. The romance in this book is HOT and the chemistry is amazing!

I thought the first book in the series, Bound by Night, was really good even though I had a few small issues with it, and I can say that while reading Chained by Night I was terrified that the author wasn't going to be able to pull it all together. However, I wasn't disappointed and I absolutely loved it! I am dying to read the next one! I really, really hope the next book is about Myne. Please tell me it is! We get to see a little more of his back-story and I hope he finds his brother somewhere. My heart totally went out to him in this book. Anyway, great book, big freakin' five stars!
Definitely a Must Read!
