Blurb: Grace never thought she’d be starting her life over from scratch. Losing everything has landed her in Lucky Harbor, working as a dog walker for overwhelmed ER doctor Josh Scott. But the day his nanny fails to show up, Grace goes from caring for Josh’s loveable mutt to caring for his rambunctious kids. Soon Grace is playing house with the sexy single dad…
With so many people depending on him, Josh has no time for anything outside of his clinic and family–until Grace arrives in town. Now this brainy blonde is turning his life inside out and giving a whole new meaning to the phrase “good bedside manner.” Josh and Grace don’t know if what they have can last. But in a town like Lucky Harbor, a lifetime of love starts with just one day…
A very well written and beautiful love story that will leave you feeling satisfied and happy! The main characters, Grace & Josh, have amazing chemistry that sizzles all the way through the book. Their story was so beautiful, it was exactly what I want to see in a contemporary romance! Even though this is book six in the series it could easily be read as a stand-alone.
Grace has found herself living in Lucky Harbor, taking all kinds of odd jobs to make ends meet. She is at a turning point in her life and trying to figure out what she wants to do. One of these odd jobs leads her to Josh when he calls her for a dog-walker. I loved her character from the start! She is just a sweet, funny, and all-around good person. Her drive to be successful comes from the high expectations of her adoptive parents, and she has never really had the chance to just do what she wants to do with her life.
Josh is the perfect leading man! He is a hard worker, great father, sweet & loyal. He's trying his best to raise his son and help his disabled sister through her problems. He is also a busy running his father's practice and being an ER doctor too, so he doesn't have much free time. He spends so much time taking care of other people, that he has never really had anyone take care of him.
When the two meet they are immediately attracted to one another, and their chemistry is wonderful! Grace ends up working for Josh, and is gradually drawn into his life completely. Their personalities complemented each other so well that the story progression was very believable. In fact, I was so invested in the characters that I stayed up till about 3am just to finish!
All in all, a great contemporary romance! It was just what I needed, and I loved everything about it! Even though I hadn't read any of Jill Shalvis' previous books, she's made a new fan of me & I can't wait to read more!

SAHM to four rowdy kids. Avid reader and blogger.
